Five Tool Recruiting

Welcome to The Home of Five Tool Recruiting

    Welcome to the home of Five Tool Recruiting.  The Five Tool Recruiting program was designed to personally help each of our players with their college recruiting process.  Our staff has had over 200 players earn the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level since 2002.  Our staff has an established and respected reputation with college coaches and is known for placing quality players into programs that fit them academically and athletically.  Our staff prides itself on taking a personal interest in each player while helping each of them navigate through the recruiting process.  We work directly with the college coaches, student-athlete, and parents throughout the entire process.  Our goal is simple.  It is to help each of our players find a school that fits them academically, economically, socially and athletically.

PROFESSIONAL CATCHING VIDEO ANALYSIS

    Five Tool Recruiting is proud to announce the addition of individual professional video catching analysis as an independent program option.  Jeff Arnold who is currently catching in AA for the San Francisco Giants is our professional instructor.  Jeff was named the top defensive catcher in the San Francisco Giants farm system by Baseball America in 2013.  He will give each catcher a comprehensive evaluation while breaking down your overall catching mechanics, blocking, and transfer.

The Catching Video Analysis Program will include;

  • Our professional instructor will analyze the individual catcher's video on a monthly or bi-monthly schedule based on program selected.
  • Supply the player by e-mail with a professional evaluation with a comprehensive breakdown of the catcher's overall mechanics supplied in the video with detailed corrective instruction to maximize overall mechanics, blocking, and transfer.
  • Allow the catcher to see how he actually receives, blocks, and his transfer.  This will help him to identify problem areas detailed in the evaluation and help him to learn how to "feel" and correct flaws in his mechanics on his own.
  • Program package options of five or ten professional video analysis evaluations will be offered.

Jeff played four years at the University of Louisville where he was named a Johnny Bench Award semifinalist in 2010.  He finished the 2010 season being named to the Second-Team All-Big East team and was selected in the 26th round of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft by the San Francisco Giants.  He left the Louisville program with more wins than any player in school history.  Prior to the 2013 season Baseball America named him the Best Defensive Catcher in the San Francisco Giants' minor league system.  He was also selected for the 2013 Carolina-California League All-Star Game.
